Ignition Combustion Advanced Training

Session 1:

Motion Text – 1:12:20
This lesson examines the paint and text tools inside combustion? and how to use them as well as other operators within the composite to create a bumper or a stinger. The view ports, the control panels and the timeline are used to create and control the key frames and animation.

Seamless Textures – 00:12:06
This lesson explains how to create seamless tiles and textures within a composite and within your text and how to animate them.

Aligning Layers – 00:10:03
This lesson explains how to use the pivot points and null objects to control the transformation of multiple layers at one time. Also discussed is duplication of your footage for efficient workflow.

Paint Modes – 00:10:05
This lesson explores the use of the paint modes and how to use the paint tools and objects further than just as solid objects. Plus how to apply edge gradients and place video or still images in the paint objects.

Session 2:

Couple At Railing – 00:52:00
This lesson merges live-action actors to a 3D rendered backplate. The Discreet keyer and paint operator will be used for the initial key and clean up, then the backplate will be tracked to the live action and matched with color correctors. The result is the two layers appearing as one take.

Waterfall – 00:25:02
In this lesson you will quickly create a very realistic waterfall and a flowing river from one still photograph, particles, instancing and masking.

Water Effect – 00:15:34
In this lesson we take the final result of the previous lesson (Waterfall) and use operators such as displacement and bump map operators to add water running over the front rocks.

Session 3:

Mountain – 00:48:02
In this lesson you will composite video and still images using masking and the color matching feature in the Discreet CC. Camera animation, tracking, stabilizing, and efficient use of footage is also covered.

Tracking Tip – 00:10:00
This is a tip on how to improve the trackers performance using operators prior to the track.

Text Mask – 00:39:25
In this lesson you will use your text as a mask and place particles within the text face and the outline. You will also use masks to reveal other text layers; creating a burning “look” as the text changes from one color to another. *This lesson uses the font Brush Script, if you do not have this font substitute it with a similar bold script font. The CWS has all text layers committed to disc so you will be able to playback the final result whether you have Brush Script or not.

Metal Text – 00:06:00
Here you will first create a metal texture using operators and then save the workspace to easily reuse the texture with any copy or text.
